Despite popular belief, composition has never been exclusively the preserve of men. The Baroque period proves the opposite, with the musical legacy of several female composers who, before being unfairly swept aside by history, were extremely renowned. This programme showcases the subtleties and audacity of the works of Barbara Strozzi, Francesca Caccini, Élisabeth Jacquet de la Guerre and Mlle de Guédon de Presles, who have left us a rich repertoire.
☀️ The concert at La Cabane du Monde – Rocher de Palmer will be preceded by a workshop with primary school pupils from the town of Cenon.
