Committed partners
Fondation d’entreprise Société Générale
The partnership linking Pygmalion to Mécénat Musical Société Générale and then to the Fondation d’entreprise Société Générale began in 2008 with a commission to composer Vincent Manac’h for Wolkengesang, a work for choir and early instruments designed to be presented as a mirror image of a cantata by J. S. Bach. The resulting search for new correspondences between timbres and writings laid the foundations for a long-term partnership, encouraging Pygmalion to develop, in project after project, a laboratory combining creativity, excellence, and a commitment to sharing its discoveries with the widest possible audience. If we can speak of the DNA shared by Pygmalion and its musical director, Raphaël Pichon, it has guided their neverending quest to renew how musical heritage is transmitted.
Eren Groupe
Sponsors of the very first album devoted to J. S. Bach’s Missae breves, Eren Group and Pâris Mouratoglou have faithfully supported Pygmalion’s development since its beginnings.
