To spark the curiosity of younger generations, attract new audiences, and enable the musicians of Pygmalion\u2014choir and orchestra\u2014to share their passion and inspire the young to take up musical vocations: these are the objectives of the Kiosque, created by Pygmalion to develop its civic roots in Nouvelle-Aquitaine.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Since 2019, Pygmalion has been offering a season of chamber music concerts and free educational workshops open to all: Kiosque Pygmalion.
The Kiosque showcases programmes devised by Pygmalion musicians, with repertoires ranging from early music to contemporary music, jazz, and French pop: a real carte blanche! The Kiosque aims to make music accessible to all audiences and takes place in a wide variety of venues (concert halls, municipal halls, churches, community centres, hospitals, retirement homes, schools, etc.) in and around Bordeaux. The concerts are preceded by meetings and workshops for discovery or practice.
This is an opportunity to showcase projects led by artists from the Pygmalion ensemble, outside of their participation in major productions!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A journey into the world of string quartets with four artists who are regular members of the Pygmalion orchestra! This project was created on the initiative of Delphine Blanc, a multi-faceted violist whose talents include both the bow and the pen, as she is also a sociologist, associate researcher at the Georg Simmel Centre (EHESS-CNRS Paris) and professor at SciencesPo Paris. \ud83d\udcda\ud83d\udd0e<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anne-Charlotte Dupas, cello<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anne-Charlotte Dupas and Chlo\u00e9 Parisot, who have been collaborating for some fifteen years, formed the Zeitlos duo in 2023 in Dieulefit. The unusual combination of the viola and the cello allows for the development of an extraordinary sound palette that is particularly close to the human voice. Chlo\u00e9 Parisot has been a regular member of the Pygmalion orchestra since 2021. \ud83c\udf33\u2600\ufe0f<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ad\u00e8le Carlier, a regular member of the Pygmalion choir since the ensemble was founded, met L\u00e9a Masson during a performance of Couperin’s Le\u00e7ons de t\u00e9n\u00e8bres<\/em> at the Ch\u00e2teau de Versailles. This programme is a journey into the heart of Baroque music composed by women in the 17th century, ending with a work by \u00c9lisabeth Jacquet de La Guerre, cousin of Fran\u00e7ois Couperin.\ud83e\uddde\u200d\u2640\ufe0f<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The BIRDS music project is an immersive sound adventure combining music and awareness-raising activities by the League for the Protection of Birds, a unique, eclectic and cross-disciplinary programme. Pieces from the classical repertoire interact with works from traditional folklore and song, arranged by Jonas Mordzinski. Working with saxophonist and composer Peter Corser adds an extra dimension by introducing elements of jazz and improvisation, with the saxophone conceived as a fifth voice. \ud83c\udfb7\ud83e\udd9c<\/p>\n\n\n\n
